The person behind the mind palace

About Me

I’m a Web & Software Development student, maker, future librarian, student journalist and writer, reader, gamer, and lifelong fantasy and science-fiction fan.

A creatively altered photograph of me as a Tech Wizard in a circuit-patterned hat and robes, holding a glowing purple sphere.
This Tech Wizard is actually me.It began with my photograph and was creatively altered to bring out the logic, curiosity, and magic of making things work.

One person, many connected interests

Why I made Lore & Logic

I wanted one place where my projects and ideas have enough context to show how they relate instead of splitting myself into unrelated professional and personal profiles.

Logic

Developer & technologist

I study web and software development, and I care about technology that is understandable, accessible, and useful to actual people.

Hands-on

Maker

3D printing, Cricut work, paper craft, vinyl, HTV, crochet, bookbinding, and the pleasure of turning an idea into an object.

Public knowledge

Future librarian

Libraries bring together access, reader service, information literacy, privacy, technology, creativity, and community.

Lore

Writer, reader & fan

Student journalism, opinion writing, books, games, fantasy, science fiction, dragons, tabletop roleplaying, and worlds worth discussing.

Residents of the mind palace

Widget, Byte & the Tech Wizard

I’m the Tech Wizard. Widget and Byte are my Lore & Logic maker mascots: one brings craft, curiosity, and practical creativity; the other brings machinery, code, and cheerful problem-solving.

Widget, a squirrel maker in blue overalls, and Byte, a friendly robot inspired by a 3D-printer toolhead, standing together with craft tools and a small blue boat.
Widget and Byte give the creative and technical sides of my mind palace recognizable faces.

Community & elsewhere

Some spaces require an MATC login. External links open in a new tab so Lore & Logic stays available.
